Being Strong and Courageous In Tough Times!

Bible Art Journaling, Bible Art, Esther, Such A Time As This

For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?  Esther 4:14

Making decisions that could affect you between life and death seems impossible! Well, Queen Esther was caught in an unimaginable scenario that even the most courageous warrior would’ve had a difficult time making a decision on.

The King at the time put out a decree to put all the Jews to death, unbeknownst to him, his wife, Queen Esther, was a Jew as well. So when Mordecai, Esther’s cousin pleaded with her to make a plea for their lives to the King, Esther had to be strong and courageous in her faith during this tough time. Because not only was her life at stake, but all her family and all the Jewish community at that time.

I hope you and I never have to make a decision like this but if you and I do, prayer, along with fasting is what Esther encourages her people to do. Prayer is the key to hopelessness in tough times. We don’t know what the outcome may be but we will have “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7).

Drawing one of my favorite heroines is not a difficult task! Esther had a favor from God on her life that any lady would be blessed to have. She also displayed a courage that was supernatural. Her faith was strong and her obedience to the Lord was undeniable. With those traits, it is easy to see why she is of such importance. So when I decided upon this verse to Bible Art Journal, this is what happened!

Using a Sakura Jelly Roll black pen as the outline and PrismaColor pencils to fill it all in, made the task simple yet beautiful and graceful in creating Esther in a sea of bright colorful flowers!

I hope you enjoyed this page and are inspired to create a beautiful page with the subject of Esther in mind! Please feel free to comment below.
